TEHRAN, May 24--President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad stressed that the culture of sacrifice should be safeguarded since it is the secret of the Iranian nation’s continuance. President Ahmadinejad said commemorating sacrificers of the 1979 Islamic Revolution and Sacred Defense (the 1980-88 Iraq-imposed war) will help promote the culture of sacrifice in the society. He pointed out that sacrificers do not fear any power because they believe in God. “All things in the universe seek perfection through worship or asceticism. However, sacrifice is a shortcut for reaching the summit of perfection,“ he said. Described martyrs as “everlasting people“, the president said they are the source of pride and asset of the Iranian nation. Referring to the services offered to sacrificers by the current government, Sadeq Dehqan (head of the Martyrs and Sacrificers Foundation) said, “Their needs have been fulfilled and we hope to provide them with better services in the future.“Единственное, что я не мог понять из этой корреспонденции: Aссоциация шахидов, - это каких? прошлых или будущих? Если прошлых, то как глава ассоциации что-то мог сказать без помощи спиритических медиумов? А если будущих, - то какие у будущих шахидов такие нужды, что их можно удовлетворить, и должно удовлетворять лучше?
